A Brief Word About The Nuon VLM...

I wasn't really expecting much from this since I don't really think the VLM in the Jaguar is all that, and this is one step up the evolutionary ladder. But hokey smokes, the Nuon version makes the Jaguar look like a 2600.

If you can find a Nuon player reasonably priced, you need it for the VLM. Just set it on Random and let it do it's thing. Listening to the Spin Doctors as I write this with the VLM is completely mesmerizing. (Well, almost completely, I am still typing.)

Somehow the display managed to be more sedate and in character for Brahms' Sonatas for Piano and Violin. Oddly organic and restful. Very cool experience.

I'll have to score a few more games and the few Nuon-enhanced DVD titles and get back to you on how this thing does in those departments. But for the VLM and the fact that it's a decent regular DVD player makes this thing worth it.
