Red five standing by! After seeing Star Wars, who hasn't
dreamed of taking on the Death Star, using the Force and
saving the galaxy from the Empire?
While many, many games have been made in the name of Star
Wars, this is one of the first, and IMHO still one of
the best. Star Wars Arcade by Sega tried to update
the idea, but lost the simplicity of the original. Shadows
of the Empire, started off right with a great snow
speeder level, but then had too much run and jump garbage.
Atari's Star Wars features voices from the movie,
three stages (TIE Fighters, Death Star surface, and Death
Star trench), and a very good learning curve. While any
good pilot can take out the Death Star once or twice,
it takes a veteran to blow it up ten or more times!
