The first home version of Pac-man is difficult
to review.. On one hand, I remember playing this game
for hours in the early eighties. Simplified from the Namco
arcade game, Atari's home version keeps the basic gameplay
of the arcade intact. The sound effects, while crude,
are memorable and fun.
On the other hand, this game is only fun for a short time
as the maze never changes and the fruit bonus always looks
like a "Poptart-Fig Newton lovechild" (and that's being
kind). You'll probably enjoy this game, if you remember
playing it or really love the Pac-man series.
