NINTENDO 64 REVIEW

A near perfect game. Super Mario 64 was the first game to get 3-D platforming right, and even now other games are borrowing heavily from the formula. Trapped inside a castle are 120 stars. To save the princess (yes, yet again!) Mario must tackle different obstacle courses in fifteen different worlds accessible through different paintings within the castle.

Two things make Mario 64 work so well—the excellent, intuitive control, and the integration of the graphics to create a believable VR world. Moving Mario around really becomes second nature very quickly, allowing you to concentrate on the different obstacles, or on simply enjoying the different worlds. The graphics are still breathtaking—particularly in scale and depth, giving a great sense of how big or how far away everything is.

However, the bottom line is Mario 64 is still really fun to play. Swimming, flying, or going through the ghost house are a blast well after beating the game. Chances are you have already played Super Mario 64. But if you haven't, it comes highly recommended.
