Not quite as good as Tempest 2000, but what is?

A modernized version of Eugene Jarvis's classic Defender. Your mission: destroy the bad guys before they kidnap your people on the ground and become mutants. Lose all your guys and, well.. good luck.

Excellent CD quality music, more "polished" coding, and nice easter eggs, but for some reason not as magical as Tempest 2K. Is it that Defender had been ported to a lot of game systems? Or that the Plus mode felt like it should be the 2000 version? Who knows... still a great game.
