Airball was the first 16-bit home game I was exposed to on my friend's Atari ST. The concept (in a sorcerer's apprentice variant you have been turned into a ball of air. You must find items so the wizard will turn you back into a human) and artwork (beautiful hand drawn isometric view) were new and exciting at the time and i played it late into the night.

Later, I purchased the amiga version and discovered that I needed to brush up on my cartography skills! The castle you explore to find the items you need is vast, full of sharp objects, and difficult to map, but the combination of exploration with original premise make Airball a game I will pick up and play again and again.

Hint: when searching for the spellbook at the beginning of the game, a flashlight would come in handy.
