November 5, 2002 L.A. Secession is on the ballot in the General
Election. Your vote counts! Show
your support by going out and voting against secession.
Every resident of the current
City of Los Angeles votes on secession for the San Fernando
Valley and for Hollywood. Each proposed new city must get at
least 50% of the vote in seceding area as well as 50% overall
to pass
Seceding cities will vote for
new councils and mayors during this election, without knowing
if secession will pass. These newly-elected officials will govern
the new cities during the volatile transition period
